Sugar and Spice are two little Yorkies who were found together in a cattle grid! Both were in a terrible state with their coats being so matted that it took several hours to clip these tiny guys and make them more comfortable.

UPDATE! 25th September 2010 - Spice has now been rehomed! Many thanks to Mr and Mrs Shaw for offering this wonderful character the home comforts he needed.

Spice has had to have 10 teeth removed as this poor little mans mouth was in such a terrible state that the teeth were loose and rotten. A short video clip of his mouth before the operation shows the appalling state that this had been allowed to escalate to. Please, if you can donate towards the cost of this life enhancing treatment it will not only help Spice on his way to a full recovery, but will also give us the resources to help so many more like him whose health has been allowed to deteriorate and then been callously abandoned to their fate.

They are not used to walking on a lead, so we will try and help them 'find their feet' during their time here, they are both timid initially but soon come bounding up for a fuss, Sugar even 'smiles'!

We did have Sugar and Spice running with some of our other small residents but they do prefer the company of each other and humans, especially Sugar, Spice is still rather timid.

They will make wonderful companions, but they do not appear to have had much time spent with them at all, as it is very likely that they will even need house training.

Sugar and Spice have been health checked, vaccinated, wormed, treated against fleas and microchipped.
