| Description | UPDATE - Charm is back at Chancepixies safe and sound, but after his little houdini act is back looking for a permanent new home, can you help? UPDATE - On the night of 29th December 2010 Charm worked out how to open the front door of this foster families home and hasn't been seen since. The dog warden, police, micro-chip company etc have been informed and posters and flyers have been distrubuted by his distraught foster family. If anyone can help us get this beautiful boy back save and sound please contact us. UPDATE - Charm has been fostered by Justine and Chris and was taken home on 15th December to recover from being neutered in a cosy new home! Thank you Chris and Justine. Originally found as a stray, Charm was due to be put to sleep the day we drove the 600 mile round trip to save him and 5 others! We have no history or background on Charm, but on initial assssment he is about 1-2 years old and although under-weight, he is a very friendly, out-going character. During his stay with us we will be spending time to get to know him and assess his character more and the type of home he will be looking for and will keep this page updated accordingly. We are looking for a very special home for this very special dog. As you can see from the photos Charm, as with all sighthounds, loves to run, however the recall does need to be worked on! He has obviously been told off in the past when he has gone back because as soon as you let him off the lead he goes as far away from you as possible and although he has a certain level of trust with us that he will, eventually, allow himself to be caught, he finds it very confusing that we often put a lead on him, make a fuss of him and let him go again! We are doing this to try and get him to realise that coming back can actually be a nice experience, that it doesn't mean he will get a hard time and it doesn't always mean that is the end of playtime! I think we are making progress but this type of training will need to be continued. Charm would be best suited to a home with experience of the sensitivity and challenges of owning a sighthound, he could possibly live other dogs but this would be subject to all introductions being made here first. Charm has been neutered, health checked, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated against fleas |

This ball of energy was due to be killed just 10 days before these pictures were taken, I think he has so much more to give!

These 2 photos were taken the day after Charm was saved from Death Row
