RAINBOW BRIDGE
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that
pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of
our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of
food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole
and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times
gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body
quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green
grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Rest In Peace little man
- 29/07/2011
This is my beautiful Sparky who came
from West Hougham where all the rescue/strays were taken before the site
became Chance Pixies. He was a JRT x of an undetermined age so we and the
vet (Burnham House) settled on 3yrs old. Sadly I had to have him put to
sleep today 29 July 2011 at the grand old age of 17yrs as his major organs
were failing and he was not eating.
Sparky was a unique dog without a bad bone in his body, he was entertaining,
funny and very peculiar in some of his ways but that is what made him Sparky.
He saw me through bad times and was always there when I was down and at
times I guess you could say he saved my life just by needing me and being
there for me. He gave me a wonderful 14yrs of himself without wanting anything
in return. I have sat up through the night with him and some people say
I was stupid spending vast amounts on him over the years with his back troubles
especially given he was a rescue dog, but I have never regretted a single
penny I spent on him and would gladly spend double that to have him for
another 14yrs. I miss him so much and will continue to do so probably for
the rest of my life, my grandkids and daughter are besides themselves as
he was as much part of their family as mine.
He is now chasing the elusive squirrels with his pals Benji, Jess and Belle,
and still not catching them. Run Free my little man, I love you so much
and thank you for such wonderful times, I am sorry I had to do what I had
to do, I did it because I love you and could not watch you suffer or fall
apart. Sweet dreams and sleep tight Love Mummy xx
