Please meet . . . JEFFREY!
Jeffrey has found himself looking for a new home,
through no fault of his own, after a change in home circumstances.
Jeffrey is an energitic, playful ball of fun who
will make a fantastic companion for someone special. He is very affectionate
and even greets you with a smile!
Jeffreys forever home will need to be with someone
who is home for the majority of the time, who loves a game of fetch,
lots of fun walks and a cuddle at the end of the day.
Jeffrey is a small dog with a big character, can
you give him the home deserves?
Will You Help Me Unpack?
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
and all nicely tucked in my warm new bed,
I should unpack my baggage, lest I forget,
There is so much to carry, so much to regret...
Hmm...Yes there it is, right on
top, let's first unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and hides Shame,
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave,
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones
who left me,
but I wasn't good enough for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack?
Or recoil from my things and take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me
unpack?
To put away my baggage, and never repack?
I pray that you do, for I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage, do you still want me?

Chancepixies attends APGAW
meeting at the House of Lords concerning Dog Breeding in the UK
Next sponsored walk is our Valentines
walk on Saturday 11th Feb 2012
All Chancepixies dogs are now fed
on a Natural Diet!
Wendy
Turner-Webster visits Chancepixies and becomes Patron!

Wendy
Turner-Webster, who presented the ‘Pet Rescue’ television
series for several years, visited to see the charity’s unique
approach to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned dogs on Thursday
18th November 2010.
Recently commenting that she is “always saddened that (rescue)
centres like this have to exist” she was keen to learn about our
‘Fit for Breeding’ legislation proposal which would see
an end to irresponsible breeding and the UK’s endemic stray dog
population, removing the need for a rescue industry in the country.
Mrs Turner-Webster was pleasently surprised to learn that Chancepixies
develop bespoke training and behaviour programmes for all of the rescue
animals in their care and offer lifelong support to their owners.
The charity’s in-house animal behaviourist, Freya Brisley, conducted
a practical demonstration and Mrs Turner-Webster was also given a presentation
of the ‘Fit for Breeding’ legislation proposal and was quoted
to say; “I am really astonished that there is no legislation in
the UK to control dog breeding.”
Chancepixies Animal Rescue are proud to say that Wendy has happily accepted
our invitation to be Patron of the charity and to champion our cause!
Many thanks to Wendy and we look forward to working with you to make
a real difference to dogs in the UK. |
